If you are not performing player evaluations, you should be!
Would you be alright if your child attended school and you never received a report card telling you how well or how poorly he or she was doing? What about a player that doesn’t know if he or she is doing what is expected of them? Or what about a player that doesn’t know whether or not they are improving or regressing based on the goals that are set for his or her age?
Player evaluations are an important part of player and coach relationship as well as the player’s ability to reflect on their achievements. Providing positive and meaningful feedback to players is a great way to increase their confidence and help them focus on how to move forward.
