Team Budgeting

Making a Budget

Making a budget can seem challenging at first. A good budget can set the stage for a great season, or a poor season if not done right. This section will cover the hows and the whys to team budgeting.

Attention to details

Budgets should include all team-related activities and expenses. Things to include:

  • League registrations
  • Tournaments
  • Coaching fees (if applicable)
  • Travel Permits
  • Equipment (game balls/TeamSnap)
  • Miscellaneous items (Team bonding)

Always budget more than you anticipate. Having a little extra funds at the end of the season is ok. It can provide you with an opportunity to jump in a discounted tournament or have a team pizza party!

Parent Involvement

According to MYSA, in order to hold a family accountable to paying the team budget you must get a signed copy of the team’s proposed budget from each family. We have created a one sheet team assessment form that can be used for this reason.

Changes to Budgets

From time to time budgets can change for one reason or another. When a budget changes, it is important to communicate these changes to each family.

Ways to Collect Team Fees

We offer a few ways for your families to make their team fee payments. They can write a check (made out to Missouri Rush), they can Venmo the club, or they can pay via PayPal. Each payment must include their player’s name and team name in the memo section. **Each team is responsible for tracking their families payments**

Requesting Payments for Team Expense

Missouri Rush manages the balances as well as the account balance sheets for each team. When a team has a payment due, the team manager will submit an online form requesting payment. The link to that form is listed below
